
Bangkok, Thailand: Club leaders, agronomy teams and industry professionals from across Thailand and Asia-Pacific are primed to come together this month to debate the broad topic of sustainability in golf, share ideas and build valuable connections.
Robinswood Golf Club will welcome global experts in club management, turf science, course design and golf technology for the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Club & Turf Management Conference on May 26 where the over-riding theme will be sustainability.

As well as delivering a welcome address at the start of the day, Seehachet will be joined for a panel discussion on how Reignwood is setting new standards by Stuart Daly, COO at Reignwood Park Thailand, Kenny MacKay, Director of Golf Course and Grounds at Wentworth and Robinswood Golf Courses, and Joe Marshall, Director of Instruction at the Claude Harmon 2 Academy at Robinswood Golf Course.
Throughout the day, specific presentations related to sustainability will be delivered by Chris Gray, Martin Moore and Dean Olsen.
Following Gray, Head of Sustainable Golf & Agronomy Asia-Pacific with The R&A and President of the AGIF, in the line-up will be Volt Thailand Founder & CEO Olsen (Can Solar Energy Work for Your Club?) and Flagstick President Moore (Build for Sustainability).

On the club management side, Daly and Absolute Golf Services’ General Manager Simon Mees will reflect on Best Practices in Sustaining Profits. Also on the topic of finances, SMARTSCORE Chief Executive Officer Yeom In-wook will expound on Leveraging Technology to Grow Revenue.
Also on the morning agenda is Steve Harris, Regional Manager for Turf Maintenance Equipment & Agronomy at Jebsen & Jessen.
The morning will conclude with two panel sessions. The first on Turf Problems and Solutions will feature Campey Turf Care Systems’ Export Sales Manager Nick Brown, David Lunardelli, Director of Agronomy & Operations Asia-Pacific at Troon, and Dean Nelson, General Manager at Hong Kong’s Plover Cove Golf Club.
Following them, Jerome Ng, Director – Golf Development Asia Pacific at The R&A, will tackle the subject of Women in Golf: An Untapped Market. Joining him will be Stephanie Oukeo, CEO at 360 Development & Golf, and K. Wattana, General Manager – Sales & Marketing at Siam Country Club.
Immediately after lunch there will be a 90-minute segment with a variety of activities including a tour of the Robinswood property as well as live demos from Club Car and SubAir.
Teeing-off afternoon presentations will be golf course architect Jason Winter, Partner at Parslow & Winter Golf Design, who will focus on golf course reconstruction under the title Concept to Execution: A Case Study, while Jessie Liu will update delegates on the advancements being made at Club Car.
To round out the afternoon session, Catalina Tapia, Co-Founder, Creative Director and CEO at Golf Caddies, will join 59club Asia Managing Partner Chris Geraghty in a discussion on Using Data to Measure Customer Experience, before Moore takes to the stage.
