Phnom Penh, Cambodia: Vattanac Golf Resort has won two prestigious accolades at the 59 Club Service Excellence Awards.
At the awards ceremony in the United Arab Emirates, Vattanac Golf Resort was named Golf Operations Team of the Year and was also acknowledged as Agronomy Team of the Year.
59 Club is a quality assurance and data provider company which assists clients to evaluate their customer journey from a detailed non-subjective criterion on various online platforms.
The criteria are broken down into four distinct areas – staff sales, staff attitude, internal processes and facility standards. The data is then benchmarked among competitors and helps clients create action and development plans for their operation.
The results of these surveys culminate in the 59 Club Service Excellence Awards, whereby facilities with outstanding scores are recognised for their excellence and commitment to service standards.
“The recognition from 59 Club in both Golf Operations and Agronomy is testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams,” said Neak Oknha Vattanac Sam Ang, Executive Director at the Vattanac Group, a Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“Vattanac Golf Resort, along with all Vattanac Group hospitality products, is positioned as an upmarket, luxury experience and these awards confirm our commitment to that mandate,” he added.
DJ Flanders, Senior Vice President at Troon International, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation, added: “Troon could not be more proud of our leadership and associates at Vattanac Golf Resort for being recognised at the 59 Clubs awards in both Operations and Agronomy.
“Since Troon has been engaged at Vattanac Golf Resort, it was clear that the associates have worked very hard to learn and deliver the Troon operational and agronomic standards. Their commitment to excellence is infectious and I am confident that this will not be the last time they are recognised for their efforts.”
Marcus Hartup, Golf Course Superintendent, said: “We are very proud of our agronomy team who continue to strive to always improve. The passion and efforts that the team put in on a daily basis is a credit to them all as they take pride in implementing the Troon Golf quality standards and consistently presenting the golf course to a high standard.”
James Durkin, Golf Operations Manager, said: “We are extremely proud to have received two accolades for our commitment to excellent agronomic practices, and exceeding our guests’ expectations.
“Our goal is to continue to use the comprehensive data received from each survey to ensure our best practices and trainings are implemented most effectively and in line with core values of Vattanac Group.
“The team are very proud of their achievements so far, and we are excited for the future of Vattanac Golf Resort and the opportunity to deliver world class service, on the world stage.”
Mark Bull, General Manager of 59club Middle East & Africa, added: “Congratulations to the Vattanac Golf Resort team for their achievements. This is recognition for the team effort put in across all departments and shows what can be achieved when the management of a club get full team buy in across the club.”
