London, England: Golf Genius has joined the Golf Club Managers’ Association (GCMA) business network as its latest Associate Partner.
The tie-up will see the software firm provide tournament solutions for the GCMA golf events, as well as bringing its products to the attention of 1,700 members.
With clubs turning to digital options to allow the sport to be played safely in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Golf Genius has been at the forefront.
The company will play a role at the GCMA’s National Conference in November, with a key theme of the three-day gathering of managers and industry chiefs focusing around technology in golf.
“We’re excited to be partnering with the GCMA in what we see as a crucial time period for golf club managers as they are embracing more diverse software and exploring new digital solutions to deliver better service,” said Craig Higgs, Managing Director of Golf Genius International, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“Working with the GCMA will give us a platform to meet and communicate with club managers to highlight the benefits of our product portfolio,” added Higgs.
Golf Genius powers tournament management at private clubs, public courses, resorts and golf associations all over the world, combining the best features of the traditional golf experience with innovative cloud-based and mobile technology.
Live mobile scoring, live TV leaderboards alongside online registration and payments and club system integration drives down administration work for club managers, makes golf more fun for players and brings in more revenue.
The new partnership is a boon for the GCMA who have unveiled similar collaborations in recent months, under the guidance of Chief Executive Tom Brooke.
Craig Cotterill, GCMA Business Partnerships Manager, said: “Technology is playing a vital role in enabling golf club managers to deliver an improved member and visitor experience at their clubs.
“This partnership helps the GCMA to continue to surround our members with experts in areas of the industry that will play a key role in the future of their golf clubs.
“Craig Higgs and the team at Golf Genius Software share the GCMA’s passion to innovate and encourage golf clubs to embrace new technology.
“This shared passion made this partnership a natural fit for the Golf Club Managers’ Association and I’m excited to see where the next 12 months takes us.”
