West Palm Beach, Florida, United States: Greg Norman Golf Course Design (GNGCD) has announced the completion of a multi-year 27-hole enhancement project of TPC Sugarloaf.
Club members and media celebrated with a grand re-opening reception at the clubhouse followed by a golf outing with Greg Norman.
The property features three nine-hole golf courses, all designed by Norman, including The Stables and The Meadows, opened in 1997, and The Pines, opened in 2000.
The courses saw extensive updates, including resurfaced greens, tees, fairways, rebuilt bunkers, a state-of-the-art irrigation system for better coverage, as well as new and resurfaced cart paths. The updates will allow the course to be challenging for the most skilled golfers, yet approachable for the recreational player.
“I was delighted to have the privilege of returning to TPC Sugarloaf alongside the PGA Tour to modernise it and restore it to its original form,” said Norman, whose GNGCD company is a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“These
are beautiful layouts that I have always been incredibly proud of, and the
renovations will significantly improve the club’s ability to continue to rank
among high profile properties within the state and across the country,” added
Norman.
With intentions to further improve the golf experience, the property also made
major updates to the clubhouse, lifestyle centre, restaurants and pool area.
“We are thrilled to finally be finished with this large-scale renovation, which
we could not have done without the help of Greg Norman and his design team,”
said Mike Maloney, General Manager of TPC Sugarloaf. “This will give us
the opportunity to better serve our members and guests for years to come.”
