Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: Faldo Design, the golf course design firm headed by six-time Major champion Sir Nick Faldo, has entered into an agreement with Royal Group to design a new 27-hole golf course located in Long An, Vietnam.
Located 60 kilometres from Ho Chi Minh City, the current agricultural site with many water features will be transformed into a world-class golf course with villas and hotel.
Design work is already under way and construction is due to start in the coming months on the initial 18 holes to be completed in phase one.
Faldo said: “This site presents us with a very interesting opportunity to design a high-quality golf course by creating our own features that will include lots of water and landscape. I am pleased to be working with the Royal Group, a developer who already owns and operates two golf properties in Vietnam.”
Phan Dinh Tan, General Director of Hoan Cau Group, said: “We are happy to be joining Sir Nick Faldo and his Faldo Design team for our new golf course development in Long An. Hoan Cau is committed to a high-quality development in Long An and expect this will become the best golf course in the greater Ho Chi Minh area.”
Faldo Design’s current golf course in Vietnam, Laguna Lăng Cô Resort in Lăng Cô, has received many awards and accolades worldwide while Hoan Cau is the owner of Diamond Bay Golf & Villas in Nha Trang and Dalat Palace Golf Club in Dalat.
