Dongguan, China: Shenzhen has been confirmed as the venue for the launch of the Asia Golf Congress, destined to become a key event on the industry’s annual calendar.
With the powerful backing of Reed Guanghe and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), the Asia Golf Congress will focus on one-to-one business meetings for the golf industry sector, while also providing an extensive education and networking platform through the GCSAA.

Rhett Evans
Rhett Evans, Chief Executive Officer of the GCSAA, said: “The technology is so sophisticated today, and we’re convinced next year’s Asia Golf Congress represent an excellent way for superintendents and their staffs to learn exactly how these cutting-edge technologies and techniques can be used to benefit their playing surfaces.
While Evans encouraged course management professionals across the region to attend the Asia Golf Show and next month’s Turf Science Academy [December 3-4], he noted that two more golf course education opportunities are fast approaching:
*The GCSAA hosts and administers golf’s oldest and largest golf industry event,
The Golf Industry Show, scheduled for February 21-26, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
*The new China Golf Industry Expo will be held from March 13-15 in Beijing. In co-ordination with launch of the Asia Golf Congress in 2015, the
China Golf Industry Expo will be held in Beijing and Shenzhen alternatively. The first event will take place in March 2015, before moving to Shenzhen in March 2016.
