Networking opportunities allowed delegates to make new contacts and cement existing relationships.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Building business relationships via networking opportunities proved key to delegates at the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Annual International Summit 2026.

Featuring a high-profile line-up of speakers, the Summit at the Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC), within the grounds of the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), attracted a record turnout of more than 200 attendees.

In addition to the two-day Summit, this year’s programme included the AGIF Golf Business Leaders Tournament at Templer Park Country Club, the AGIF Annual Awards Gala Dinner and exclusive access to the Maybank Championship on the West Course at the KLGCC.

Rishi Narain, Head – Events, Sponsorship and Membership at the AGIF, said: “From the feedback we’ve received, it’s clear that the chance to make new contacts and cement existing relationships through networking is a vital part of the gathering for delegates.

“At this year’s Summit we built in plentiful networking opportunities with a pre-event cocktail reception, as well as coffee breaks, lunches and dinners, and hospitality at the Maybank Championship.

“We’re conscious not only of the importance of bringing the industry together, but also of providing platforms for attendees to grow and develop their businesses.”

After attending his first AGIF Summit, Richard Berry, Vice President Sales, APAC, Northstar Technologies, Berry said: “What a fantastic few days in Malaysia attending my first Asian Golf Industry Federation Summit.

“My first visit to Malaysia and my first AGIF conference, and what a great introduction to the region.

“With over 200 delegates in attendance, it really highlights how seriously clubs and industry professionals take the opportunity to come together, share knowledge, network and, ultimately, strive for excellence.

“We heard from some outstanding and genuinely inspirational speakers, with plenty of valuable insights and ideas to take away.

“Being relatively new to this region, one of the highlights for me was the opportunity to meet so many new faces, build relationships and gain a better understanding of the golf industry across Asia.

“To everyone I had the pleasure of meeting, thank you for making it such an enjoyable few days. I look forward to staying in touch and hopefully crossing paths again soon.

“And to those I didn’t get the chance to meet, there’s always next time. I look forward to the next one.”

Anthony Mocklow, Director of Sales – International, Bunker Solution, echoed those sentiments.

He said: “Thank you for an amazing event in KL! The event, the culture, the culinary, the golf, industry colleagues and new friendships made with some awesome people.

“Thank you all for an amazing support this week. The golf industry is full of amazing industry professionals and we are lucky to be connected through the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“Bunker Solution is delighted to play a part as a sponsor. See you in 2027.”
