Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: The Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Annual International Summit 2026 served to strengthen the connections that make the region’s golf industry more resilient and more ambitious.

Featuring a high-profile line-up of speakers, the Summit at the Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC), within the grounds of the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), attracted a record turnout of more than 200 attendees.

Adam Calver, Vice Chairman of the AGIF and General Manager at KLGCC, said: “It’s been a pleasure to bring together leaders from across the golf industry – from club management and agronomy to technology, sustainability, tourism and business development – for two days of conversation, collaboration and practical insight.

“This year, our programme looked ahead to the future of golf in Asia, with a particular focus on innovation in club and turf management. We learned from experienced practitioners, explored new ideas and strengthened the connections that make our industry more resilient and more ambitious.

“On behalf of the Asian Golf Industry Federation, thanks to all delegates for being here and for contributing to the growth of golf across our region.”

The AGIF Annual International Summit 2026 was supported by The R&A with Bunker Solution, Centaur Asia Pacific, Jebsen & Jessen, Sports Turf Solutions, Tee Time, Toro and Trojan Battery Company as sponsors.

Sime Darby Convention Centre was the Venue Partner and M Resort & Hotel, Kuala Lumpur was the Hotel Partner.

Supporting Partners were Tourism Malaysia, the Malaysian Association of Golf Recreational Club Owners (MAGRO), the Golf Course Superintendents’ Association of Malaysia (GCSAM) and the Golf Club Managers Association of Malaysia (GCMAM).

Rishi Narain, Head – Events, Sponsorship and Membership at the AGIF, said: “Behind every successful industry gathering are organisations that believe in the power of collaboration, knowledge-sharing and progress.

“We’re privileged to have the support of partners who are not only respected names in their fields but also active contributors to golf’s development across Asia.

“We would like to thank every speaker, moderator, panellist, delegate, sponsor and partner who has contributed to these two days.

“We hope all those who attended will leave with fresh ideas, valuable new connections and practical inspiration to take back to their organisations.”

This year’s Summit programme also included the AGIF Golf Business Leaders Tournament at Templer Park Country Club on Tuesday, last night’s AGIF Annual Awards Gala Dinner and exclusive access to the Maybank Championship.

On the adjacent West Course at the KLGCC, the LPGA Tour’s US$3 million Maybank Championship – featuring many of the world’s top players – is being held from October 29-November 1.
