Bangkok, Thailand: Absolute Golf Services (AGS) has entered an ambassadorial partnership with European Tour stalwart Gary Evans

This strategic collaboration is geared to leverage Evans’ extensive global network and significant industry relationships to amplify the AGS brand and its specialised management services on a worldwide scale.

Headquartered in Bangkok, AGS is a leader in facility management and strategic consultancy, operating throughout Asia. By partnering with Evans, AGS aims to bridge the gap between high-level vision and operational execution for golf properties seeking sustainable operations and profitability.

With 35 years playing elite professional golf behind him, boasting a reputation built at the highest levels of the game, Evans brings a formidable network of golf club owners, resort operators, and international investors to the AGS portfolio.

This partnership focuses on –

  • Global Awareness: Utilising Evans’ global connections to introduce the AGS brand to new international markets, throughout Asia and beyond.
  • Strategic Growth: Opening new commercial doors for AGS clients by connecting ambitious golf properties with elite-level insights and resources.
  • Enhanced Value: Combining AGS’s proven operational capability with Evans’ deep relationships to unlock measurable value for ownership groups and stakeholders.

James Shippey, Managing Director at AGS, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Gary to Tour ambassadorial team. His unique perspective, gained from experiencing many of the world’s most prestigious clubs, provides us with a distinct advantage.

“By integrating Gary’s global reach with our structured, experience-led solutions, we are positioned to elevate the guest and member experience while driving operational efficiency across our managed facilities.”

Evans spent 14 seasons on the European Tour from 1992 to 2006, missing the 2005 season due to injury. His undoubted highlight came in the Open Championship in 2002 at Muirfield where he finished in a tie for fifth place, just one stroke outside the four man play-off, eventually won by Ernie Els.

During his three-decade career, Evans has become a respected figure in professional golf. His commitment to building ‘better golf businesses’ aligns with the AGS mission to provide operational excellence and profitability to the global golf industry.
