Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Parslow & Winter Golf Design (PWGD), an international golf course architectural firm based in Malaysia, has joined the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).

Jason Winter, Managing Director, said: “PWGD is excited to be joining the AGIF with our shared goals of promoting sustainable golf development in the region. Our company has been heavily involved in the Asian golf industry since the original boom in the 1990s and we look forward to working with the AGIF and their partners into a bright future for golf.”

The company was founded in Australia in 1973, when Ted Parslow and his late brother, Geoff, a renowned professional golfer, established E&G Parslow and Associates.

To better serve a growing number of clients across Southeast Asia, the company expanded to Kuala Lumpur in 1992. Winter joined shortly after, relocating to Malaysia in 1995 and later becoming a partner. In 2013, the firm was renamed to reflect this partnership.

Ted Parslow, an experienced Civil Engineer, is a past President and founding member of the Society of Australian Golf Course Architects (SAGCA) and remains a full member alongside Winter, who holds a degree in Environmental Design.

Over the decades, PWGD has delivered award-winning golf course designs throughout the Asia-Pacific and beyond, including the redesign of Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, venue for this month’s Maybank Championship on the LPGA Tour. The club’s West and East courses have also hosted events on the PGA Tour and European Tour (DP World Tour), receiving rave reviews.

PWGD designs are recognised for their creativity, playability, and respect for the natural environment, earning the firm a reputation for excellence worldwide.

Winter will attend the AGIF Annual International Summit at Sime Darby Convention Centre on October 29-30, the same week as the Maybank Championship at the adjoining KLGCC.

“We look forward to meeting with friends and colleagues in the golf course industry at the AGIF Summit and to seeing the world’s best ladies tackle the West Course again,” said Winter.

Chris Gray, President of the AGIF, said: “Between them, Jason and Ted have more than 80 years of collective experience in golf course design. We’re pleased to welcome Parslow & Winter Golf Design as a Member of the Federation.”
