Integration of Industry-Leading Apps

GG Tournament Management

Arizona, United States: Golf Genius, a leading provider of cloud solutions for golfers, professionals, facilities, academies, tours, and associations, has announced the integration of its popular Golfshot app with the Golf Genius Tournament Management platform.

This new capability lets golfers enter scores and view live leaderboards right in Golfshot, while also giving them complimentary access to Golfshot Pro during Golf Genius managed events.

Players can now access premium features like real-time GPS distances to hazard and target distances, 3D flyover maps, club recommendations, auto shot tracking, advanced scoring formats, and more, all in a single app.

Today’s nine million registered Golfshot users can now play and score Golf Genius Tournament Management supported events using Golfshot.

This year, Golf Genius Tournament Management will manage close to 45 million rounds of golf all over the world, and Golfshot is the only golf GPS app integrated with the platform. This new feature is available to all golfers who use or install Golfshot.

This innovative technical achievement brings together two industry-leading apps into the game’s best wearable experience.

Golfshot members can now:

  • Input their GGID to score their Golf Genius event in Golfshot
  • Use Golfshot Pro for free (a US$79.99 annual value) during tournament rounds
  • Input scores and track stats
  • Update and follow live leaderboards
  • See dynamic 3D flyover previews of each hole with club recommendation overlays
  • Use Apple Watch and leave the phone in the bag
  • Link Golfshot to their Handicap Index and easily post scores.

“Golf Genius now connects millions of golfers to the most advanced scoring and course tools available,” said Chris Kallmeyer, CEO of Golf Genius. “Integrating Golfshot and Tournament Management is just one way we’re innovating to make the game smarter, faster and more fun for every player.”
