Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Troon Family Golf Month comes to a crescendo this weekend with the hosting of Troon Family Golf Day today at the international management group’s facilities worldwide.

Troon International is at the forefront of the initiative to highlight Troon-managed and affiliated facilities around the world, hosting family-focused instructional programmes, events and tournaments designed to encourage participation across all ages.

From elite golf education to fun-filled family tournaments and youth engagement programmes, Troon International facilities from Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa are all actively involved and setting a global benchmark for inclusive, generational golf development.

At The Els Club Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, the CH3 Academy supports more than 250 aspiring junior golfers annually, combining structured golf training with a prestigious British curriculum. The programme provides a clear path to collegiate golf, with 20-plus alumni in the last three years earning places at top US universities such as the University of Florida, Oklahoma State and Notre Dame.

Other facilities championing Troon Family Golf in the Middle East include Al Mouj Golf and LA Vie Club in Oman and The Allegria Golf Club and Madinaty Golf Club in Egypt, where junior offers run all year.

Next month, Vattanac Golf Resort in Cambodia will host the third annual 2 GEN Championship – a family-focused tournament designed to unite two generations of golfers, be it parent-child or mentor-protégé.

Set for August 10, the event features a shotgun start and team scramble format on the resort’s award-winning East Course, emphasising fun, competition and meaningful connection.

And during the bustling summer season in Tangier, Al Houara Golf Club is offering weekly kids’ clinics in collaboration with the Hilton Tangier Al Houara Resort & Spa.

These relaxed, fun sessions invite local children and vacationing families to take part in golf activities – from learning to swing and putt to riding in golf carts – creating positive early experiences in the game.

In addition to individual events promoting family participation in golf, Troon Family Golf Month also serves as a platform to raise both awareness and support for the First Tee in the US charity initiative and its mission to empower young people through the game of golf.

While the month of July serves as the launchpad for family golf activities, Troon Family Golf is available every day of the week, all year long, at participating Troon managed and affiliated facilities worldwide.

“Troon and Troon associates are dedicated to growing the game of golf every day. We’re proud to amplify our efforts throughout the month of July, bringing new golfers to the game and supporting the growth and development of junior golf,” said Troon Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Kris Strauss.

“We are also pleased to raise funds for First Tee programming, including the 70+ First Tee locations at Troon-affiliated facilities, to aid them in teaching valuable life skills to our youth,” added Strauss.
