San Diego, California, United States: John Deere, a leader in providing innovative solutions and technology to the golf and sports turf markets, has introduced two new electric-powered offerings that expand its commitment to sustainability and high-performance equipment.

The 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower and Gator GS Electric with Lithium-Ion battery option, debuting at this week’s GCSAA Conference and Trade Show, represent the latest electrification advancements by John Deere, marking a significant step forward in its dedication to providing smarter, more sustainable solutions for the golf and sports turf industries.

The 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower has entered the market, building upon the proven chassis of the John Deere PrecisionCut and E-Cut Hybrid Triplex Mowers.

This fully electric mower offers a reliable, hydraulic-free solution that eliminates the risk of hydraulic leaks while maintaining the performance and precision that customers expect from John Deere.

In addition, John Deere expands its popular Gator GS Electric line-up with a high-performance Lithium-Ion battery option, offering an even more powerful and maintenance-friendly solution for customers who prefer an electrified solution on the golf course.

These new offerings provide the tools necessary for golf course superintendents, sports turf managers and other professionals to embrace a more efficient future in turf care and maintenance.

“At John Deere, we understand the growing need for sustainable, efficient equipment in the golf and sports turf industries,” said Kim Ehasz, Global Manager, Market Development and Strategy at John Deere, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“These new electric-powered options are designed to help golf course superintendents and turf managers reduce their carbon footprint, lower operational costs and enhance their productivity – all while maintaining the precision and reliability John Deere is known for,” added Ehasz.

Rounding out the John Deere riding greens mower line-up, the 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower is a fully electric model designed for greens, tees, fairways, approaches and surrounds.

Powered by a four-battery, 58-volt, 14.24 kwh MAX power pack, this mower delivers electric power to the traction, steering, lift/lower and mow circuits. The 1200-watt off-board charger recharges the batteries in 12 hours or less, allowing operators to mow more than 22 greens on a single charge.

The innovative, industry-exclusive Whisper Link lift/lower system operates silently, using a flexible link design powered by integrated smart motors. This system offers precise control over lift and lower rates, as well as timing, while providing the same exceptional contour-following performance that has made John Deere’s 2700/2750 Triplex Mowers so popular.

The electric system eliminates hydraulic leaks, reduces maintenance needs, ensures ultra-quiet operation, zero operating emissions and no use of fossil fuels – benefiting both the environment and the operator.

The 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower also seamlessly integrates with the John Deere Modular Telematics Gateway solutions and is fully connected to the John Deere Operations Center PRO Golf software package, enabling golf course superintendents to access advanced data and real-time insights into mower performance.

Furthermore, the mower is compatible with a wide range of existing 2700/2750 Triplex Mower attachments, including Quick-Adjust 5 cutting units, LED light kits, grass catchers, and more, making it easy and cost-effective for customers to transition to electric-powered equipment without sacrificing precision and performance.

The Gator GS Electric line-up now offers a new Lithium-Ion battery option, providing a high-performance, low-maintenance solution for customers who require an electrified vehicle.

This upgraded battery delivers longer run-time, reduced weight, and delivers reliable performance at any charge level, making it ideal for tackling any task on the course. Unlike traditional lead-acid batteries, the Lithium-Ion option significantly reduces maintenance needs, lowers operating costs and ensures more uptime, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a reliable, hassle-free electric vehicle.
