London, England: Marc Webster, who has more than three decades’ experience overseeing some of the world’s most revered golf tournaments, has joined global sports and entertainment agency 54 as Global Account Director.

Webster was managing golf events at IMG for many years before going on to promotions which saw his roles include Managing Director of Mass Participation, EMEA before becoming SVP Global Operations in 2014.

His previous work includes over 250 global events working with all key stakeholders – The R&A, DP World Tour, PGA Tour, Asian Tour, LPGA and Ladies European Tour.

Away from golf, he has worked across global events in mass participation, arts and entertainment and most recently the Paris 2024 Olympic Hospitality Programme.

Webster will join 54’s Global Events Team, led by Tom Hogg, 54’s Executive Director, Events, with a particular focus on LIV Golf, which has shaken up the profile of the sport since it dramatically burst onto the stage in 2022.

Webster said the move to 54 would keep him at the cutting edge of the events sector.

He said: “No-one can have failed to see how LIV Golf has raised the bar in terms of look and feel, excitement and energy around the sport of golf, and this really is the place to be if you want to be involved in that kind of transformative, game-changing mentality.

“I can’t wait to start making an impact with the team, and can already feel the creative and innovative spirit at work here.”

Hogg said: “It’s hugely satisfying that someone of Marc’s calibre and experience believes 54 is the right place to be when it comes to shaping memorable events.

“He’s going to bring unrivalled insight and first-hand experience. This year promises to be the best for LIV Golf so far and we couldn’t wish for a better addition to the team.”
