Hong Kong SAR, China: The LINK Hong Kong Open 2024 will host one of the most fun and engaging fan experiences at an international sports event in Hong Kong.
From November 21-24, the world-class golf action on the Hong Kong Golf Club’s (HKGC) Composite Course will be rivalled by the party atmosphere and fun for the entire family at the LINK Hong Kong Open 2024 Fan Village.
Visitors will be entertained with an array of free interactive golf-themed games and fun-filled activities daily from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm.
With 2024 marking the tournament’s 63rd year and the 135th anniversary of the HKGC, heritage is at the heart of the tournament’s celebrations in the Village this year.
The HKGC’s Fanling venue is one of two sites in the city to have earned an Award of Distinction at the UNESCO Asia Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.
Spectators visiting the HKGC booth in the Village will be introduced to the club’s many efforts in advancing golf development in Hong Kong as well as learning more about the ecological and heritage significance of its Fanling site. Visitors who visit the adjoining social media booth to give a like to the club’s platforms will also receive a free gift while stocks last.
While commemorating the history of the tournament and host venue, 2024 is also about looking forward to the event’s future as the Hong Kong Open welcomes a new title sponsor in Link Asset Management Limited (Link).
Sustainability is deeply rooted in Link’s DNA and the Link booth in the Village will share an important message for visitors with fascinating sustainability facts and tips on environmental conservation and food waste. DIY Leaf Print and Handicraft Workshops and complimentary popcorn will add to the fun Link.
Upon entry into the HKGC grounds, spectators will be given a LINK Hong Kong Open 2024 cap as a tournament memento, while supplies last.
Link Hong Kong Open-branded bottles are available for purchase at the Bluewater booth so fans can stay hydrated by refilling their bottles at the Bluewater stations around the course. This initiative also aligns with the tournament’s vision to eliminate single-use plastic at the event.
Located just a chip shot away from the iconic clubhouse and first tee of the HKGC, golf fans of all ages can test their own skills at the tournament’s golf zone run by the Golf Association of Hong Kong China.
Experienced golfers can improve their game with the golf simulators equipped with the latest golf technology, or simply try their hand at some fun skill games in the LINK Hong Kong Open Mini Golf Arcade’s Pinball and Pac Man style putting games.
The LINK Hong Kong Open Kids Zone guarantees a day of laughter and fun with face painting, glitter tattoos, bouncy slides, a floating balloon globe, and horse racing simulators on offer.
A dynamic football freestyling act will ensure the energy remains high with multiple acts that combine football skills with acrobatics and dance, while the LINK Hong Kong Open’s very own bubble performer will be roving around the Kids Zone in her vibrant costumes and mesmerising bubbles.
The HKGC’s Composite Course is one of the most picturesque and walkable courses in the world, which can result in some tired legs for the thousands of visitors following the likes of 2016 Rio Olympics gold medallist Justin Rose, defending champion Ben Campbell, or up-and-coming stars like Korean Tom Kim, or Hong Kong’s Taichi Kho, last season’s Rookie of the Year on the Asian Tour.
Blind masseurs will be on hand to offer complimentary 10-minute back, head or shoulder massages at the Village and there are plenty of comfortable seats for spectators to enjoy the live broadcast from the big screen while chilling to the Live DJs and satisfying taste buds through the gastronomic offerings from a range of diverse food and beverage brands. Onsite booking for a massage is required.
In keeping with the event’s theme of the Hong Kong Open – Open For All, admission to the tournament is free on the first two days (November 21-22). Season passes are priced at HK$300 for a weekend pass or HK$200 per day (November 23-24).
Fans who are 18 or under can enjoy free entry to the Link Hong Kong Open across all four days of play when accompanied with a ticketed adult or with a photo ID containing date of birth.
