Singapore: Player Pathway will be the theme for the latest golfing forum presented by The R&A.

Organised by The R&A and with the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) and ASEAN Golf Federation as Partners, the Forum will be staged at Singapore’s Seletar Country Club on July 10.

Running from 1.30 pm to 7.30 pm, Player Pathway: Development to Performance Forum will feature an international line-up of speakers.

Jerome Ng, Director (Asia-Pacific) – Golf Development at The R&A, said: “We believe that a huge opportunity for golf exists if we all work together to attract more people into the sport.

“Golf is open to all. We want to encourage more inclusiveness, innovation and clearer pathways for younger people to play socially or at their best ability at an elite level.”

Teeing-off proceedings will be presentations from Dr Tony Bennett, President of the European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA), Gavin Forrester, Manager – Education, The R&A, and Joshua Shou, Assistant National Coach, Singapore Golf Association.

Also on the agenda is Abe Rosal, National Coach at the National Golf Association of Philippines.

Ahead of a networking reception, the Forum will conclude with a panel discussion featuring The R&A’s Ng, Joshua Ho, General Manager, Singapore Golf Association, and Vu Nguyen, Vice-President and Secretary-General, Vietnam Golf Association.

“Our target audience are sports administrators, committee and board members of national golf associations, golf clubs/facilities, sports/golf event companies and like-minded individuals,” said Ng.
