Bengaluru, India: The Prestige Golfshire Club is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Prestige Masters Series, one of the region’s largest amateur tournaments.
Founded by Faiz Rezwan from the Prestige Group, the event has grown into a marquee tournament for amateurs, with participants flying in from across the world to compete.
Each year, 840 golfers take part in the event, with the tournament consisting of six qualifying legs, held from May to October, culminating in the Grand Finale in November.
In celebration of the tournament’s 10th year, the 2024 overall winner will receive a trip to attend the 2025 Masters at Augusta National, sponsored by Golftripz and Prestige Golfshire Club.
Declan McCollam, General Manager at Prestige Golfshire Club, said: “We’re incredibly proud of how the Prestige Masters Series has grown over the past decade. We know that the experience for the golfers is second to none.
“The additional incentive of the trip to Augusta National for the 2025 Masters is no doubt a welcome one for our competitors, who will make memories that will last a lifetime.”
Site of the Progression Course for India’s first Certificate in Greenkeeping (CIG) cohort in April, the Prestige Golfshire Club is owned by the Prestige Group and managed by Troon Golf.
Measuring more than 7,000 yards from the championship tees, the course has five tee options to accommodate all skill levels, with its links-style contours and distinctive bunkers providing an exceptional experience.
“The Prestige Masters Series represents the pinnacle of amateur golf in India, and we are proud to manage such an esteemed venue,” said DJ Flanders, Executive Vice President at Troon International, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).
“The passion and dedication of the participants are truly inspiring, and we look forward to another decade of success and growth for this remarkable tournament,” he added.
