July has been designated as ‘Troon Family Golf Month’ at Troon-affiliated facilities around the world.

Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: July has been designated as ‘Troon Family Golf Month’ at Troon-affiliated facilities around the world.

Throughout this month, courses are amplifying their family golf initiatives through family-oriented instructional programmes, events and tournaments.

In addition, Sunday, July 30 is ‘Family Golf Day’, providing families with an opportunity to enjoy the game of a lifetime together at Troon-affiliated courses.

Troon Family Golf Month also serves as a fund-raising opportunity for the First Tee and its mission to empower young people through the game of golf.

While July serves as the kick-off for family golf activities, Troon Family Golf is available every day of the week, all year long, at participating Troon-managed facilities worldwide.

Families can play golf together and enjoy the following:

  • Juniors play golf for free after 3 pm when playing with a paying adult.
  • Juniors enjoy complimentary Callaway rental clubs all day (US only).
  • Juniors receive complimentary instruction when taking a lesson with a paying adult.
  • Through the ‘Building Game Changers’ campaign, Troon and Troon-affiliated facilities will be collecting donations for First Tee and local First Tee Chapters throughout July. In addition, on July 30 courses will host a variety of Family Golf Day activities with proceeds benefitting the First Tee Building Game Changers campaign. Donations are optional for Family Golf Day participants.

As part of the First Tee’s Building Game Changers campaign, golfers around the world can bid on marquee golf packages at Troon-affiliated facilities through the online auction platform ‘Charitybuzz.’

At https://www.charitybuzz.com/support/BuildingGameChangers, bids are being accepted on golf and golf vacation packages at numerous Troon-affiliated facilities, including Silverado Resort and Spa in California; Kaanapali Golf Courses in Hawaii; Victoria Golf Resort in Sri Lanka; and Indian Wells Golf Resort in California.

Finally, the Troon Junior Club (TJC) is open to all junior golfers aged 17 years and younger for an annual registration fee of just US$35. Troon Junior Club members receive preferred Junior Rates at participating Troon facilities, a TJC Nike hat, bag tag, practice facility access, all Troon Family Golf benefits and more.

“Troon-affiliated facilities around the world are committed to growing the game through junior golf every day of the year,” said Kris Strauss, Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“During Troon Family Golf Month our facilities, PGA/LPGA instructors and associates come together to amplify these efforts and share the many great virtues playing golf together as a family can provide,” added Strauss.
