Singapore: Laguna National Golf Resort Club will return to the tournament spotlight in July when it hosts the China Ladies Professional Golf Association (CLPGA) for the first time.
The inaugural Singapore Ladies Masters presented by Trust Golf will take place over the award-winning Masters Course from July 6-8.
Organised by LLD Sports and featuring a 132-strong field, the US$100,000 Singapore Ladies Masters will mark the first time the CLPGA has held an event outside mainland China.
It will also be the third major professional tournament at Laguna National in 2023 following the DP World Tour’s Singapore Classic in February and the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Team Series Singapore in March.
“We always look forward to having top professional golfers from around the world come and compete on our two championship courses, the Masters and the Classic,” said Kevin Kwee, Executive Director at Laguna National, a Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation. “I am sure the Singapore Ladies Masters will be a great success,” he added.
Lyn Yeo , Founder of LLD Sports, said: “We are proud to present the first China LPGA event in Singapore and excited to introduce the talented ladies from the Tour who will be coming to Laguna National Golf Resort Club.
“The CLPGA is an exceptional Tour and the Singapore Ladies Masters will definitely offer something different for golf fans and spectators who come to watch the tournament,” she added.
For Trust Golf, part of Thailand’s tech giant TCT Corporation, the Singapore Ladies Masters is the latest addition to the portfolio of events it supports, including the Women’s Scottish Open and the Trust Golf Mixed Series.
“We have supported the Asian Tour, the Ladies European Tour and the WPGA Tour of Australasia, and now Trust Golf is proud to be presenting sponsor of the CLPGA’s Singapore Ladies Masters, helping to inspire the next generation of champions in Singapore and the region,” said Trust Golf Founder Dr Prin Singhanart.
