Centaur Asia Pacific Aligns with Makro Organics

Hong Kong: Centaur Asia Pacific will partner with Makro Organics to become their regional distributor for a range of environmentally-friendly, plant extract-based products which are all certified organic.

Centaur will distribute Makro Organics products in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Taiwan.

“We are confident that with the inclusion of Makro Organics to our list of reputable brands, Centaur Asia-Pacific is now better equipped with products needed to help the industry build a sustainable future,” said Jeffrey Eshuis, Managing Director of Centaur Asia-Pacific, Hong Kong, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“We aim to reduce our carbon footprint and to assist the industry experts with the tools they need to achieve their goal also,” added Eshuis.

As the world moves towards more environmentally-friendly solutions, Eshuis said Centaur believes that the range of products offered by Makro Organics will play a big part in a greener future for the industry.

Makro Organics supplies effective organic solutions for golf courses as well as a wide range of other industries, including sports turf, landscape, agricultural, industrial and mining.

Dylan McWilliams, Division Manager for Centaur Asia Pacific, Hong Kong, said: “Having Makro Organics added to our list of organic soil conditioners, we can now provide our customers with modern, alternative methods of soil aeration. This unique product range is a great addition to our portfolio and we look forward to introducing this range to our region.”

The key product within this range is Oxy Turf, which provides a solution to anaerobic soil conditions and the symptoms thereof by releasing low levels of dissolved oxygen as part of a biological process.

It reduces organics and increases the bacterial activity within the soil. Oxy Turf can be used alongside traditional mechanical aeration and will aid in reducing compaction of the soil profile while offering a firm playing surface in return.
