Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Troon has hailed Team Troon member Matthew Fitzpatrick on his stunning US Open championship triumph at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Fitzpatrick’s first Major championship came at the same venue where he won the US Amateur championship in 2013.

Fitzpatrick’s US Open win is the fourth Major championship victory for a Team Troon member and the second in a row, following Justin Thomas’ PGA Championship win in May (his second Major) and Gary Woodland’s 2019 US Open success at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Fitzpatrick’s Troon-branded, US Open-inspired golf bag featured red, white and blue trimming and stitching, as well as the Troon logo embroidered on the pockets.

“Congratulations to Matthew on his outstanding US Open victory,” said Tim Schantz, President and CEO at troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“He played well all week, but his bunker shot on 18 on Sunday was one of the all-time pressure shots in Major championship history and he executed it perfectly. I am certain we’ll be seeing it replayed for years to come, likely sandwiched between (Tom) Watson’s chip at Pebble Beach and (Payne) Stewart’s putt at Pinehurst.

“With two straight Major championship wins, Team Troon members are on an incredible roll – a streak we hope to continue at next month’s Open Championship,” added Schantz.

Team Troon is a collection of top international golf talent representing the Troon brand throughout professional golf.

Fitzpatrick is joined on Team Troon by PGA Tour golfers Thomas, Woodland, Matt Kuchar and Bubba Watson of the United States, Alex Noren of Sweden, PGA Tour Champions golfer and World Golf Hall of Famer Colin Montgomerie of Scotland, LPGA Tour/Ladies European Tour player Cheyenne Woods and LPGA golfer Yealimi Noh.

Fellow Team Troon member Woodland finished tied for 10th at the US Open, while Troon investor Rory McIlroy, through his investment fund Symphony Ventures, finished tied for fifth.
