Cam Ranh, Ninh Thuan Province, Vietnam: Designed by Golfplan principals David Dale and Kevin Ramsey, Nara Binh Tien Golf Club is the latest outstanding golfing facility to be unveiled in the burgeoning Vietnamese market.
Built by Martin Moore’s Flagstick GCCM on 80 hectares of land against the western edge of a large dune along a coastal area, it’s the first golf course to open in Ninh Thuan Province in the South Central Coast region of Vietnam.
With a stunning beachside location, Binh Tien is 45 kilometres from Cam Ranh International Airport and about an hour from Nha Trang.
The golf course is the centrepiece of a large resort development that also includes luxury villas, townhouses, hotel and other high-end resort facilities.
The golf course provides magnificent views of the mountains and sea, and gives golfers a wonderful experience of playing through different landscapes. The course is blessed with sand dunes, lakes, rock outcrops and palm trees.
In addition to the 18-hole course, which is fully lit for night golf, there’s a driving range, short game area and well appointed clubhouse.
Golfplan and Flagstick are both Full Business Members of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
Speaking during an AGIF webinar late last year, Dale said: “Binh Tien is an exciting course. Golfers will find it user-friendly and fun. And I think part of that is that on every one of the green sites there’s a place to miss.
“And if you miss your tee shot, there’s a place to hit your second shot to get in position for your third, and you’re able to use that area with a putter to be able to get up and down around the green.”
