Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Numerous international properties of Troon have captured some of the top prizes at the 59Club Annual Service ‘Excellence’ Awards in the United Kingdom, Middle East and Africa.

The big winner was Yas Links Abu Dhabi which gained four awards – Golf Agronomy Team of the Year, Golf Operations Team of the Year, Gold Flag Designation and the leading award of the night, the Ultimate Service Excellence Award.

Other Troon properties which were honoured included Saadiyat Beach Golf Club (Golf Retail Team of the Year), The Els Club, Dubai (Golf Membership Team of the Year) and Emaar’s Montgomerie Golf Club (Food and Beverage Team of the Year).

Also, Troon International’s The Grove property came away with the top prize for the Leading Individual Golf Sales Performance as well as The Greenkeeper and Golf Manager of the Year awards at the UK edition.

The 59Club Awards celebrate the best in industry excellence – its gold, silver and bronze flag designations are awarded to venues that have delivered the most consistent golf experiences in that calendar year.

The 59club looks to single out properties that provide excellent facilities for golfers to enjoy, as well as having achieved the required standard of service throughout the year.

The winners in the 59club Service Excellence Awards are determined by scores collected from its impartial mystery shopping audits, which evaluate the experience afforded to visiting golfers and prospective members, in accordance with objective benchmarking criteria over a period of 12 months.

As such, Troon’s success in this year’s awards demonstrates its continued and growing presence within world golf in terms of overseeing some of the finest venues across the globe.

The highlight of the awards for Troon International was Yas Links Abu Dhabi which hosted the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship this year for the first time in the tournament’s history.
