Covid Can’t Halt Growth of Vietnam Golf Industry

Hanoi, Vietnam: The Covid-19 pandemic will not delay the development of Vietnam’s golf industry, according to Madame Nguyen Thi Nga, Founder and Chairman of the BRG Group, one of the leading private multi-sector economic groups in Vietnam.

Speaking in the latest interview in the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) series about Women in Sports, Madame Nga said: “The Covid-19 pandemic during the past two years has affected all sectors and industries of the economy, including golfing.

“Business disruptions have been posing challenges for businesses in the recovery and development of Vietnam’s industry. However, I believe that these challenges cannot delay the development of the golf industry in the future.

“During the period of interruption, BRG Group has promoted the construction and completion of new golf courses, such as our newest course, BRG Rose Canyon Golf Resort, due to open later this year, in parallel with the renovation and maintenance of our older courses, so they’re always in good condition, highest availability, and highest standards being ready for customers’ return.

“Golf courses in Vietnam currently have been allowed to reopen but have not yet fully opened to international visitors. So we will focus on serving Vietnamese and international golfers already in Vietnam with the best facilities and services.

“Along with supporting policies and solutions of the Government, I believe that Vietnamese businesses and golf businesses in particular will soon recover and continue to develop in the future.

“To prepare for the next step of attracting international tourists to Vietnam, we will focus on creating irresistible products, such as BRG Da Nang Golf & Resort, a unique course with the combination of two legends, Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus, and combining this with our Sheraton Grand Hotel that is located adjacent to the golf courses. Any golfers coming to the coastal Danang City cannot ignore this amazing golfing destination.”
