Phang Nga, Thailand: Aquella Golf & Country Club is preparing for a grand finale to 2021 with the staging of its first professional event.

To be held from December 28-31, the Trust Golf Thailand Mixed event will feature many of Thailand’s best-known golfers vying for a slice of the THB 5 million (about US$150,000) purse.

“Our immaculately presented golf course and strategically testing design will provide a strong test for the professionals,” said a spokesperson for Aquella Golf & Country Club, a Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“Another added test will be the swirling winds that add to the challenge of Aquella, especially during the afternoon, when wind directions shift often, making club selection critical,” added the spokesperson.

Among the headline names expected to line up at the Pacific Coast Design layout are Jazz Janewattananond, Prom Meesawat, Sadom Kaewkanjana, Pornanong Phatlum, Pannarat Thanapolboonyaras and Wichanee Meechai.

In accordance with Thailand’s Department of Disease Control, Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, the tournament will fully adhere to internationally recognised Covid-19 protocols.

Spectators are able to attend, subject to pre-registration and submitting a negative ATK test, conducted within 72 hours before entry.

Aquella Golf & Country Club is managed by Absolute Golf Services, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
