Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Forest Ridge Golf Club is the latest golfing establishment to join the Troon portfolio.

Troon Golf, the resort and daily-fee management division of Troon, will oversee all operations including golf, agronomy, food and beverage, and sales and marketing for the 18-hole, semi-private facility in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Forest Ridge Golf Club opened for play in 1989 as the area’s first upscale, public golf club and is the centrepiece of the Forest Ridge master-planned community.

Forest Ridge is built on land that was once a cattle ranch owned by LS Robson, the grandfather of Joe Robson – developer of Forest Ridge. The Robson family ranch stretched from Broken Arrow to Catoosa and still exists on a portion of the land today.

After the death of Nick Robson, Joe’s father, the ranch was leased to conserve 2,000 wild mustang horses.

The golf course was designed by native Oklahoman Randy Heckenkemper and has been honoured as one of the top golf courses in the State by Golf Digest. The par-72 layout measures 7,083 yards from the tips.

The Forest Ridge golf clubhouse includes the Rocking ‘R’ Ranch House Restaurant where guests can enjoy hand-cut steaks, chicken fried steak, prime rib, and generations-old Robson family recipes with modern twists. The ranch-style restaurant is open to the public for dinner, lunch or breakfasts.

“Forest Ridge is a beautiful community and the club facilities are excellent,” said Mitch Harrell, President of Troon Golf, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“Our Troon Golf team will now look to further advance the club’s service levels, agronomy standards and overall club operations. We are thrilled to be working with the Robson family and the Forest Ridge community,” added Harrell.

In addition to the golf club, the Forest Ridge community features a 10-mile trail system, private lakes and pristine parks.

The Ridge Club, the exclusive social club of Forest Ridge, features a resort-style pool with a giant slide, six lighted tennis courts, two pickleball courts, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, a private playground, a sand volleyball court, bistro, lounge, and a full calendar of social events.

“At Forest Ridge, we have always committed ourselves to offer the best facilities and quality of service to our members and guests,” said Forest Ridge Developer Joe Robson.

“Troon Golf shares our vision. We are excited about this partnership that will take Forest Ridge to an even higher level of excellence,” he added.
