Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Troon has been named ‘Management Company of the Year’ for 2020 by BoardRoom magazine in the publication’s 21st annual ‘Excellence in Achievement’ awards.
It marked the seventh consecutive year Troon has been honoured with the ‘Management Company of the Year’ distinction.
The BoardRoom magazine ‘Excellence in Achievement’ awards are the private club industry’s only awards recognising the clubs’ business partners.
BoardRoom magazine’s industry peers review and select outstanding suppliers and consultants, which represent various aspects of course and club operations. Winners, each year, are selected for overall excellence in their respective fields, achievements, innovation, vision for future growth and continued impact on private club operations.
“We thank BoardRoom magazine and our industry peers for this incredible recognition,” said Tim Schantz, President and CEO at Troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“Being honoured for seven consecutive years is an incredible reflection of the outstanding professionals we have at our Troon Privé-managed clubs around the world,” he added.
Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, oversees a global portfolio of prestigious clubs. Of the more than 100 private clubs under Troon Privé management, approximately half are member-owned.
Troon Privé’s portfolio includes: BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Belfair in Bluffton, South Carolina; Naperville Country Club in Naperville, Illinois; King Kamehameha Golf Club in Maui, Hawaii; Pronghorn in Bend, Oregon; Santa Ana Country Club in San Jose, Costa Rica; and Centurion Club in London, England.
“Private clubs are the beneficiary of outstanding work of the industry’s leaders, such as Troon. We’re delighted to recognise Troon and their contributions to private clubs for the seventh year in a row,” said John Fornaro, Publisher of BoardRoom magazine.
