Cannon Falls, Minnesota, United States: Suståne Natural Fertilizer Inc. has announced its commitment to supporting the golf and sports turf industry through the sponsorship of a series of Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) sustainability webinars for 2021.
One of the AGIF’s founding members more than 10 years ago, Suståne is the world’s leading manufacturer-exporter of sustainable, organic and natural base slow-release nitrogen fertilizers.
It was last year that the AGIF launched its online education programme, consisting of webinars in turf management and club management, featuring globally respected presenters.
The series is tailor-made by the AGIF to continue extending its core function in providing education.
Kick-starting the 2021 season on February 25 will be Chris Gray, Head of Sustainability & Agronomy – Asia Pacific, The R&A. He will make a presentation on Sustainable Golf.
In the second edition of the 2021 series on March 4, Alex Glasgow, Technical Director of Agronomy at the New Zealand Sports Turf Institute, will make a presentation on Soil/Tissue Testing and Fertiliser Planning.
On March 11, Operating Your Golf Shop – Is it Right for Your Club? is the topic that will be addressed by Mark Bates, Director of Golf Operations at Singapore’s Laguna National Golf & Country Club.
Craig Holden, Suståne’s President & CEO, said: “Suståne, as a Charter Member and Full Business Member of the AGIF, is proud to continue its commitment to education in the turfgrass industry as full sponsor for these webinar series.
“As a founding member and partner with the AGIF, Suståne has always supported, and will continue to support, the turfgrass and club management professionals in the region.”
Eric Lynge, the AGIF’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “The AGIF is fortunate to have had so many loyal member companies during the past decade, Suståne being among them.
“As a not-for-profit organisation, the AGIF relies on membership dues and event sponsorship. Without this backing we would not be able to go ahead with undertakings such as our Sustainability Series.
“Therefore, on behalf of all those who broaden their knowledge by attending our webinars, we thank Craig and his team at Suståne for their continued support.”
Meanwhile, Suståne is continuing to expand its presence in the Asian golf industry with the establishment of new distribution partners in India, Sri Lanka, Japan, the Philippines and the Northern Mariana Islands.
“Suståne products are now available in 17 countries across the Asia Pacific region, and over 65 countries worldwide,” said Malaysian-based Henry Ng, Regional Manager for Suståne Asia.
“For over 30 years, Suståne Natural Fertilizer has been known worldwide as the leader in developing and supplying performance-driven, environmentally friendly inputs for quality turf management,” he added.
