Florida, United States: A world leader in solving bunker drainage problems, Capillary Concrete is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
An international company that is part-owned by Swedish golfing great Annika Sörenstam and Martin Sternberg, an active golf course superintendent for more than 30 years, multi-course owner and PGA member, Capillary Concrete is an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).
The acclaimed product was invented and developed by Sternberg as a means of resolving all bunker problems in even the most severe golf course locations.
“Capillary Concrete has been installed at over 700 courses and in tens of thousands of bunkers globally since our beginning in 2010. Our list of courses continues to grow in 2020 and we outlast our competition for decades to come,” said Sternberg, a 25-year Certified Golf Course Superintendent with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, the first European superintendent to reach this status in 1992.
“Capillary Concrete was formed coming out of the recession of 2008-2010 to make the strongest and longest lasting bunker liner to save courses thousands of dollars over the lifespan of their bunkers. It has proved successful and in the short time of 10 years we have become the world’s leading bunker liner,” he added.
As well as administrative teams in offices in Orlando, Florida and Gothenburg, Sweden, Capillary Concrete has distributors in Japan and Korea. Centaur Asia Pacific is Capillary Concrete’s distributor in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Centaur is a Full Business Member of the AGIF.
Sternberg added: “Our references around the world can attest that our product is very easy to install, offers superior moisture control and provides a significantly improved overall economy against the alternatives.
“In addition, we have achieved the goal of creating ideal conditions for the golfer, maintenance team and club owners. You can save upto five times the cost of the investment if replacing the bunkers on the entire golf course. Our solution is so strong and durable that we provide a 10-year limited warranty. This is one of our strongest arguments.”
To commemorate its 10th anniversary milestone, Capillary Concrete is hosting a giveaway contest with the winning club receiving a free 1,500 square foot bunker installation. Four additional winners will receive a 50 per cent discount on a 1,500 square foot bunker installation.
To enter the contest, follow Capillary Concrete on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and retweet or share its post announcing the ‘giveaway’ and tag two friends.
