Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States: Golf Genius Software has acquired the assets of Tournament Expert, LLC. Founded by Ted Kalmon in 2001, Tournament Expert is one of the leading suppliers of desktop tournament management software to the golf industry.

“Tournament Expert has some excellent features that we will integrate into the Golf Genius platform,” said Mike Zisman, Founder and CEO of Golf Genius Software, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“Tournament Expert customers will be able to migrate over time to our cloud-based solutions: USGA Tournament Management Club, USGA Tournament Management Club Premium or the Golf Genius branded tournament management platform in non-GHIN states and outside the US. In the interim, the Tournament Expert team, led by Ted Kalmon, will continue to support current Tournament Expert users,” added Zisman.

Kalmon, Founder and CEO of Tournament Expert, said: “Over the past 19 years, the Tournament Expert team has built a great desktop tournament management system and supported 200 customers in the US and beyond.

“We believe the evolution of tournament management systems to a cloud-based platform will be strongly beneficial to our users, and we’re pleased to partner with Golf Genius Software to offer them a migration path to the industry’s leading cloud-based TMS. Features such as ‘access from anywhere’, live mobile scoring, online registration and payments, and deep integration with other club systems are just some of the cloud-enabled capabilities that will be highly valued by our customers.”

For the remainder of 2020, Tournament Expert customers will be able to renew their annual subscriptions and will be supported by the Tournament Expert team. Tournament Expert customers will have the option to migrate to Golf Genius products and the Tournament Expert team will assist in this straightforward migration.
