California, United States: With a score of 13-under par, Team Troon Ambassador Gary Woodland secured his first Major title at the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach.
The Troon brand had a strong presence at the US Open last week, with Woodland sporting the Troon logo on his bag and posing with his winning bag for photos after securing the victory.
Troon, the world’s largest golf management company, announced the formation of Team Troon – a collection of some of the finest golf talent across the PGA Tour, LPGA and European Tour – in February.
Tour players Justin Thomas, Woodland, Patrick Cantlay, Alex Noren, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Cheyenne Woods make up the star-studded Team Troon line-up and represent the Troon brand on Tour.
“It was incredible to see Gary win his first Major in the US Open,” said Tim Schantz, President and Chief Executive Officer, Troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
Schantz added: “His victory was a remarkable display of golf and mental toughness, and it was great to see him play so well on a grand stage.
“Team Troon is off to a great start in 2019. Their success reinforces the strength of the Troon brand. The excellence the members of Team Troon pursue every day is representative of Troon’s day-to-day approach, whether it’s seeking the unparalleled results to the owners of the facilities we manage or delivering memorable experiences to guests and members.”
Troon-managed or affiliated facilities host 18 professional golf events across nine professional Tours around the world. Including high-level amateur events and qualifying tournaments, Troon-managed facilities host more than 30 elite events and the representatives from Team Troon will help to promote these properties and the Troon brand as a whole throughout the competitive golf season.
