Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: More than 35,000 rounds of golf that were played on Troon International courses in 2018 were booked via its new tee-time booking app, a service launched to simplify the way golfers secure their start times in late 2017.

The app currently provides for bookings at 19 Troon golf courses in the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, Australia and Malaysia at the click of a button.

These include world-famous names such as, Abu Dhabi Golf Club, the Address Montgomerie, Dubai, Cape Wickham, Australia and The Els Club Malaysia, a Golf Course Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

As a result of its ease of access, the app recorded 35,892 bookings in 2018 from both members and non-members. Besides the revenue benefits, more and more members are enjoying the convenience of booking via the app, reducing pressure on the telephone lines and speeding up the process for the user.

Paul Emmerson, a member of The Els Club Dubai, said: “Downloading this app has made booking tee times at Troon venues so much easier. With a few easy taps I can view availability across a range of courses, secure and pay for my time and get on with my day.”

With the Australian and Egyptian locations having recently been introduced to the service, 2019 will see an even greater number of tee times being secured via the app over the coming months. In addition, a further new enhancement will mean that users will soon be able to book a golf lesson through the app.
