Lon Grundy

Lon Grundy has been named General Manager of Golf Operations at The World Golf Village Resort.
Home to two award-winning golf courses, the King & Bear and Slammer & Squire, the golf and club operations at The World Golf Village are professionally managed by Troon’s Honours Golf Division.
Grundy brings 28 years of club operations experience to the resort. Grundy is a 20-year Class A member of the PGA of America and has served as general manager at several world-class properties, including: Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona; PGA West La Quinta Resort & Club in California and Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia.
Additionally, Grundy served for five years as a regional director at Troon’s corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, where he oversaw properties in multiple states and five Caribbean islands.

As the official golf courses of the World Golf Hall of Fame, the King & Bear and Slammer & Squire at The World Golf Village Resort are designed to offer both enjoyment and challenge in a spectacular and unique resort setting.
The King & Bear is the only golf course in the world to be co-designed by
Arnold Palmer and
Jack Nicklaus. The course offers a mixture of two different design styles that come together to form one masterpiece.
The Slammer & Squire course was designed by architect
Bobby Weed in conjunction with Hall of Fame members
Sam Snead (the ‘Slammer’) and
Gene Sarazen (the ‘Squire’). The course is a fun treat for players of all abilities.
The World Golf Village Resort is located a short drive from Jacksonville, Palm Coast, Daytona Beach, and Orlando.
