Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: The Els Club Teluk Datai has been named as a recipient of a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
Now in its seventh year, the achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year.
Certificate of Excellence recipients include restaurants, accommodations and attractions located all over the globe that have continually delivered a world-class quality customer experience.
Set against a stunning backdrop of greenery and natural beaches on the island of Langkawi, The Els Club Teluk Datai is a Golf Course Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).
Featuring 100-foot-high trees, constant buzz of wildlife and the tranquility of coastal vistas, the Rainforest Course was designed by four-time Major champion Ernie Els, whose Ernie Els Design Company is a Full Business Member of the AGIF.
Distinguishing factors of the Rainforest Course are the holes which run adjacent to the water’s edge and those that wander through a million-year-old rainforest.
Following its official opening in 2014, the Els Club Teluk Datai scooped ‘The World’s Best New Golf Course’ award and was ranked 84th in ‘Golf Digest’s Top 100 Greatest Golf Courses in the World’.

The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality and quantity of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.
To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
