Quinta Do Lago, Portugal: Kota Permai Golf and Country Club has been named as Malaysia’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards.
It is the second time in three years that the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Golf Course Facility Member has won the accolade.
Tang Meng Loon, Gamuda Land Clubs Group General Manager, said: “At Kota Permai, we are committed to delivering a unique and world-class experience to our members and patrons. So we are incredibly honoured to have the hard work and passion officially recognised at the World Golf Awards.

AGIF Chief Executive Officer Eric Lynge said: “It is always pleasing to see Asian Golf Industry Federation Golf Course Facility members recognised for their excellence, especially on a global scale.
“We congratulate Mr Tang and his hard-working team at Kota Permai on this latest, well-deserved accolade. It is another indication that our best facilities in Asia are truly of world-class standard.”

The worldwide voting process ran from June to October 2016, with votes cast by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry.
Elsewhere, Kota Permai was named as the first runner-up in the Best Course in Malaysia category and among the top-10 Best Maintained Courses in Asia in the Asian Golf Awards.
