Mandalay, Myanmar: Jacobsen has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Myanmar Golf Federation to become the ‘Official Golf Course Equipment and Machinery Partner’ for the next three years.
The agreement will see Jacobsen support the Myanmar Golf Tour which aims to ‘develop golf in the country and to discover talented players who can make the step up to professional level’, as General Secretary, Myanmar Golf Federation,
Myat Khine, explains.
Jacobsen, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation, will maintain the courses around Myanmar during the tournaments with its renowned quality of cut.
The sponsorship signing ceremony took place at the third tournament of the year on the Myanmar Golf Tour at Yaytagon Taung Golf Resort in Mandalay.
Representatives from Jacobsen, including
Chuck Greif, Managing Director Asia Pacific, and
Annie Boriraj, APAC Business Development Manager, met with
U KoKo Aye, President of the Myanmar Golf Federation to sign the sponsorship agreement.
Jacobsen dealer for the region, Forest Park, also attended the event.
Commenting on the sponsorship agreement, Greif said: “We are delighted to become the ‘Official Golf Course Equipment and Machinery Partner’ of the Myanmar Golf Tour.
