The seventh hole at KLGCC’s East Course.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club [KLGCC] has reinforced its drive to develop junior golf in the Malaysian capital.
In its on-going efforts to promote an active and sports-oriented lifestyle through the golf, the Asian Golf Industry Federation Golf Facility Member is offering a 50 per cent discount on green fees to junior golfers wanting to test their golfing skills at the club’s East Course.
“This promotion sets a great platform to encourage younger golfers who are not a member to practice and experience golf at an attractive green fee rate,” said a KLGCC spokesperson.
The special rate of RM159 per junior is applicable on weekday afternoons. It is not inclusive of caddie, buggy and insurance charges.
The only stipulation is that an adult golfer with a valid handicap is required to accompany the juniors at the course.
To enjoy this offer, juniors will have to present their MyKID/Mycard during registration and abide by the KLGCC’s Bye-Laws, rules and regulations.
KLGCC is an active advocate in promoting and developing golf and has established a host of special programmes dedicated to nurturing local young talents and providing the stage for them to grow and compete in international competitions.
As well as staging the KLGCC Junior Golf Tournament, which is open to the public and puts young golfers to the test with its set of unique rules and regulations, the club hosts Rising Star Juniors, a golf development programme for disadvantaged families within Klang Valley, and the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia Development Programme that nurtures young girls who have a passion for golf.
In recent years, KLGCC has established itself as one of the region’s premier tournament venues, hosting the Maybank Malaysian Open, the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia and the CIMB Classic
