Shanghai, China: Three-time PGA Tour winner and world number five Rickie Fowler will take to the stage at next month’s HSBC Golf Business Forum.
The 26-year-old American, who joins a host of the game’s most influential voices and decision makers, will share remarkable insight into life as a PGA Tour professional, from winning golf’s greatest prize to living in the spotlight and building a global brand.
Fowler will be joined on stage at the Pudong Shangri La Hotel in downtown Shanghai from November 1-4 by Guy Kinnings, Global Head of Golf, IMG, completing an action–packed agenda with industry heavy-hitters.
Also among the speakers are PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem; European Tour Chief Executive Keith Pelley; LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan; new Chief Executive of the R&A Martin Slumbers; co-CEO of WME | IMG, Ari Emanuel; Dr Arab Hoballah from the United Nations and Asian Golf Industry Federation Chief Executive Eric Lynge.
Commenting on his appearance at the Forum, Fowler said: “It’s really exciting for me to take part in something like this away from the course, especially as I prepare for this year’s WGC-HSBC Champions.
“I’ve done hundreds of corporate days over the last few years, but the Forum feels like something I’ve never been part of before. From the list of speakers to the profile of the brands here, it seems like everyone from the golf world is going to be in Shanghai at the start of November.”
Giles Morgan, Global Head of Sponsorship and Events at HSBC said: “We’re delighted to have Rickie on stage at this year’s HSBC Golf Business Forum and, as one of golf’s hottest prospects, we believe he can offer an interesting insight into the world of professional golf for everyone in the room. The 2015 agenda is already extremely impressive and Rickie’s inclusion underlines the Forum’s position as one of the world’s premier golf business events.”
