The opening ceremony at MH Mall.
Shenzhen, China: One of China’s most anticipated retail openings of the year, The MH Mall in Shenzhen’s Mission Hills Centreville welcomed shoppers with a series of celebratory promotions and activities at its soft opening.
An integrated ‘Retail-tainment’ complex which assembles an exciting line-up of recreation, shopping, dining, entertainment, leisure and cultural experiences under one roof, the iconic MH Mall is set to become one of the premier lifestyle destinations in the Pearl River Delta.
MH Mall has collaborated with prestigious international leisure and entertainment brands to offer an outstanding and unique array of lifestyle choices, some of which are debuting for the first time.
American bowling operator Brunswick Group will create a themed, boutique bowling centre, its first in southern China, while Ice Castle Entertainment, also from the US, has created a 2,600 square metre ice-skating centre providing visitors with an unparalleled skating experience.
Buddyland is also making its first foray into the Chinese market with a 3D recreational park featuring innovative learning and entertainment elements.
There will also be a palette of international food offerings including contemporary Cantonese cuisine at Zen, Michelin-starred dim-sum at Tim Ho Wan, authentic Sichuan cuisine at Rong Li Ji and Ding Ge Hot Pot, North-western Chinese cuisine at Xi Bei, and gourmet Japanese and Korean at Han Yang Ting. A unique extreme sports-themed restaurant by leisure brand X-TRM will also be unveiled.
For shoppers, MH Mall features a full suite of international high-street fashion brands including H&M, UR, MUJI and many more.
The WONDERPLACE zone at MH Mall showcases contemporary fashion and lifestyle brands from Korea, targetted at young, trend-setting fashionistas. MH Mall will also house a dedicated travel agency which specialises in trip planning services to create bespoke vacations as well as outdoor activities and cultural experiences.
MH Mall is at the heart of Mission Hills Centreville, the first ‘HOPSCA’ complex in the region [hotel, offices, parks, shopping, culture and arts] to serve over five million residences within 100 kilometres radius.
Developed by Mission Hills China, the complex covers an area of over 500,000 square metres with an investment of RMB5 billion. In addition to MH Mall, the complex boasts facilities including the Hard Rock Hotel, Mission Hills International School and the MH Maker, Shenzhen’s first integrated Cultural and Creative Centre.

To further enhance customer experience, MH Mall has collaborated with global IT giant IBM to develop a multi-functional app. This hassle-free, smart retail system provides shoppers and visitors with up-to-the-minute promotional offers, easy navigation, news updates, restaurants bookings and more.
Dr
Ken Chu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Mission Hills Group, said: “We’re delighted to launch MH Mall, with its world-class leisure and entertainment brands, unique dining options and international retail offerings. This is truly a one-stop recreational, entertainment, leisure and cultural experience, and we are confident MH Mall will become the major lifestyle attraction in Shenzhen.”
