Danang, Vietnam: Hoiana Shores Golf Club has strengthened its commitment to developing the next generation of club management professionals through the inaugural BMI Asia Pacific Strategic Partners Signing Ceremony, bringing together the Club Management Association of America (CMAA), GCMC-AP (Asia Pacific Golf Club Management Company Limited) and Hoiana Shores Golf Club.

Held on the opening day of the inaugural Business Management Institute (BMI) Asia Pacific programme, the signing marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration to deliver internationally recognised club management education in Asia-Pacific and establish Hoiana Shores Golf Club as a leading hub for professional development within the golf and hospitality industries.

The partnership reflects a shared vision to elevate industry standards, strengthen leadership capabilities and prepare professionals to better serve an increasingly global golfing community.

Developed by CMAA, the Business Management Institute is a globally recognised education programme created to provide club management professionals with structured learning throughout their careers.

Established in the United States in the early 1980s, the programme was designed as a lifetime professional development pathway, allowing managers to progressively build their knowledge, leadership capabilities and operational expertise while working towards internationally recognised career milestones.

The BMI Asia Pacific programme follows this proven framework, offering participants a comprehensive multi-year learning journey that combines practical management skills with strategic leadership development.

Hosted at Hoiana Shores Golf Club, the programme will be delivered through a progressive series of courses between 2026 and 2028, culminating in the opportunity for participants to pursue the prestigious Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation.

The programme includes:

• BMI 1 – Club Management: August 17-21, 2026

• BMI 2 – Leadership Principles: January, 2027

• BMI Sports & Recreation Management: October, 2027

• BMI 3 – General Manager/Chief Operating Officer: January, 2028

• BMI Food & Beverage Management: August, 2028

For Hoiana Shores Golf Club, supporting BMI Asia Pacific represents more than hosting an education programme – it’s a long-term investment in people.

As one of Asia’s leading championship golf destinations, Hoiana Shores believes exceptional golfing experiences are created not only by world-class facilities but also by outstanding people.

By supporting international education programmes and creating opportunities for continuous professional development, the club aims to strengthen the capabilities of its own team while contributing to the wider development of the golf industry across the region.

The initiative aligns with Hoiana Shores’ ambition to connect and serve the international golfing community to even higher standards, while helping develop future leaders who will shape the next generation of club management throughout Asia-Pacific.

The BMI Asia Pacific programme is supported by leading organisations including The R&A, the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), CMAA, and GCMC-AP, reflecting a collective commitment to raising professional standards and strengthening club management education throughout the region.

The inaugural strategic partnership signing represents an important milestone in building a stronger professional network for Asia-Pacific, ensuring today’s managers have access to internationally recognised education while preparing tomorrow’s leaders for an evolving global industry.
