'Sweet' Success for Titleist Brand Ambassador Wiesberger

2015-Email-ProV1ProV17winMain2Fairhaven, United States: Trailing by three shots entering the final round of the Alstom Open de France, Titleist Brand Ambassador Bernd Wiesberger (Pro V1x) closed with a six-under-par 65 en route to a three-shot victory over Titleist golf ball loyalist James Morrison (Pro V1x) at the Alstom Open de France.
Wiesberger’s 13-under-par 271 victory total was punctuated by a stellar weekend of play that moved him into prime position to capture his third career European Tour title.
“To stand here with the trophy, it’s pretty sweet,” said Wiesberger. “I felt really comfortable out there. I had a great weekend, only one bogey, and 66, 65 – that’s not a bad score.”
Titleist golf ball loyalist Michael Letzig (Pro V1x) prevailed in a three-man play-off to win the SIGA Dakota Dunes Open on the Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada).
Letzig posted a closing three-under 69 for a share of the clubhouse lead at 16-under 272 and ultimately earned a spot in the play-off. Letzig rolled in a 15-foot putt for birdie on the second extra hole to secure the title.
With the win, Letzig moves into fourth on the Tour’s Order of Merit and puts him into position to earn status on the 2016 Web.com Tour.
In total, 12,477 players have teed up Titleist golf balls in competition on the 2015 worldwide professional Tours, more than five times the nearest competitor with 2,093 and more than all competitors combined.
With two more wins last week, Titleist’s 2015 victory count advanced to 84 – more than four times the nearest competitor with 21 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist is part of the Acushnet company, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
