Hanoi, Vietnam: Located in Thanh Hoa province, FLC Samson Golf Links is rapidly progressing with shaping, irrigation and drainage installation under way on numerous holes.
The Flagstick team is working hard at the site – about 170 kilometres south of Hanoi – to prepare the first nine holes for grassing by the end of April.
The golf course, sculpted by Nicklaus Design, will be grassed wall-to-wall using Pure Dynasty Paspalum. It will be the first golf course in Vietnam to use this improved seeded variety of Paspalum.
This true links-style golf course is tipped to become a challenge for golfers of all levels, and upon completion will be a unique addition to the overall FLC Resort and Villas.
A state-of-the-art Toro irrigation system is currently being installed on various holes of the project.
The Flowtronex Pump station will be commissioned in late March in time to expedite grassing.
Lake lining has been completed on the golf course water features and rock walls and bridge structures are also currently under construction.
The golf course is scheduled to be finished in late July with a projected grand opening in early fall of 2015.
