Bayer Expands Golf Industry Support

Logo - BayerKansas, United States: Environmental Science, a division of Bayer Crop Science, has increased its support of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and its members through participation in the association’s Partner Recognition Programme.
Bayer Crop Science will invest resources at the programme’s Gold Partner level.
“GCSAA is delighted with Bayer’s partnership and continued dedication to the golf industry,” said Rhett Evans, GCSAA Chief Executive Officer. “Without the support of Bayer and our industry partners, critical education programmes and industry events would not be possible.”
As part of its increased commitment, Bayer will continue to fund GCSAA education programmes, webinars, scholarships, leadership opportunities and publications dedicated to golf industry professionals – a minimum investment of US$300,000.
“Bayer is thrilled to further strengthen its industry partnership with the GCSAA,” said David Wells, Golf Business Manager for Bayer, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation. “We strive to provide the highest calibre professional development opportunities to help golf course superintendents, distributors and other turf professionals continue to succeed in their roles.”
At the 2015 Golf Industry Show in San Antonio [February 21-26], Bayer will serve as the GCSAA Golf Championships Breakfast Sponsor. The Golf Championships is a members-only event. It offers four different events over three days.
Bayer and GCSAA’s Environmental Institute for Golf (EIFG) are also proud to partner on the Healthy Turf, Healthy Tomorrow programme that aims to advance plant health research and education for GCSAA superintendents.
As part of Bayer’s commitment, the company has agreed to invest a percentage of revenue from StressGard FT product sales each year for three years – a minimum commitment of US$300,000 over three years. The Healthy Turf, Healthy Tomorrow initiative includes programmes such as Plant Health Academy, scholarships, demonstration courses and webinars.
