Amsterdam, Netherlands: Maredo describes its GT230 Core Dethatcher as ‘the new, quick, clean and effective way to remove thatch’.
Marinus Reincke, Owner and Director of the Dutch company that is an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation, said hundreds of golf courses around the world are now using GT230 Core Dethatcher heads to remove thatch on greens and tees.
Reincke said: “The clean cut holes heal fast and do not hurt the turf. That means less chance for diseases and stress. And less stress for the superintendent, too!”
According to Reincke, the GT230 Core Dethatcher fits a triplex greensmower and turns it into a coring machine that pulls out the thatch with small hollow tines ‘that make a real cut’.
Reincke said: “You don’t see a brown edge next day along the hole edge. Even better, the holes are gone in two-to-three days.”
Maredo develops and distributes innovative machines for turf maintenance.
“Our new innovative [patented] machine designs help also to maintain turf in a more sustainable way as these new technologies reduce the tractor size and required power,” said Reincke.
