Gold Coast, Australia: Some of the sharpest minds in golf will be sharing their knowledge at next month’s World Scientific Congress of Golf (WSCG).
To be staged on Australia’s Gold Coast from September 5-7, the event will feature nine internationally renowned keynote speakers.
Among them are Mario Lafortune, Head of Innovation at Nike Golf, Henry Brunton, a top-100 golf coach in the US and author of High Performance Golf, David Darbyshire, Adam Scott’s personal strength and conditioning coach, Philip Di Bella, Director of Di Bella Coffee and author of Entrepreneurial Intelligence, and mathematician Mark Broadie, author of Every Shot Counts.
In total there will be 55 podium presentations, 15 posters and nine holes of golf at The Palms at Sanctuary Cove.
Dr Kerrie Evans, the Conference Chairperson, said: “The WSCG will bring together a great group of people all of whom are passionate about the game of golf.

“Whether you are an academic, coach, involved in the golf industry (or want to be) or just a lover of the game, the conference will have something for you. The conference is certainly where many great collaborative links have been forged and there will be many great opportunities to network.”
This is the first time the conference has been held outside of St Andrews or Phoenix since its inception in 1990.
