London, England: Colt Mackenzie McNair (CMM), the specialist executive search firm working exclusively in the global golf industry, has successfully supported London’s prestigious Roehampton Club in securing the services of experienced professional Peter Bradburn.
The 44-year-old Bradburn, who has been consulting on a number of projects in Europe and the Middle East in recent months, joins the London private members’ club as Course and Grounds Manager.
Bradburn previously held senior positions at resorts and golf clubs in Cyprus, Turkey, Italy and in the United Kingdom and has worked with some of the greats in the game, including Jack Nicklaus, Colin Montgomerie and Sir Nick Faldo, on the set up of courses across the Mediterranean region.
Roehampton Club is a unique sports club, located in the heart of London and situated in magnificent parkland. Golf, tennis, croquet and squash are the four core sports at the club, while there are also two swimming pools, a state-of-the-art gym, fitness studio and extensive junior activities.
Marc Newey, Chief Executive of Roehampton Club and Vice-President of the Club Managers’ Association of Europe, said: “We are fortunate to welcome someone of Peter’s experience to Roehampton Club and thank Colt Mackenzie McNair for a thorough, highly professional and targeted search.
“CMM quickly understood our recruitment brief and recognised Roehampton Club is not just about golf, it has extensive tennis facilities, world-class croquet lawns and stunning grounds. Peter has over 25 years’ experience of turf care and agronomy and I’m certain our business will benefit from his knowledge and management skills in the months and years to come.”
Richard Wood, Director of Colt Mackenzie McNair, said: “The golf industry is rich with talent in the turf care sector and CMM directly communicates with best-of-breed individuals, like Peter, on a regular basis.
“Many of our successful candidates are previously unknown to our clients, as they are not publically seeking new roles, but this appointment illustrates the power of specialist search, the depth of our network and how we systematically pinpoint the best person for a role.”
Since the company was established in 2006, CMM has become the market leader for executive search in the golf industry. With offices in England, Scotland, Dubai and Hong Kong, it has a strong reputation in the global turf care and agronomy sector, working with a host of internationally acclaimed clubs and resorts, and is also the official recruitment partner of BIGGA (British and International Golf Greenkeepers’ Association).
