- General Purpose: Develops and implements an annual sales plan that maximizes profitability for the facility and outstanding quality service for members and guests.
- Essential Duties:
- Directs and manages all group, leisure, catering, banquet, recreation, and reservations sales activities to exceed budgeted revenues for the facility. Working closely with General Manager provides strategic direction and manages tactical execution.
- Prepares, implements, and compiles data for various reports such as annual sales plan, monthly sales report, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, etc.
- Develops overseas rates, group ceilings, and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis, and mix management.
- Attends travel and golf shows such as IGTM, ATM etc.
- Recommends and Coordinates with the GM all advertising, public relations, and promotional activities in line with pre agreed marketing plan. Works closely with in-house/support marketing agencies to develop and execute marketing strategies.
- Actively participates in sales presentations, property tours, and customer meetings.
- Develops and leads a strategic membership development program designed to increase total membership count and membership dues revenue.
- Maintains membership records on all members.
- Prepares monthly membership reports for facility manager and owners.
- Assists in coordination of all club events to include invitations, mailings and other publicity.
- Maintains and develop strong relationships with current members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction.
- Tracks all guest feedback and shares with relevant department / management briefings
- Effectively communicates with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership activities.
- Networks with community partners including, but not limited to: local tourism councils, aviation partners, local corporate executives, business leaders, and media contacts to drive and obtain event and partnership leads and opportunities.
- Prepares weekly newsletter for members from input given by each department.
- Conducts various meetings such as staff, daily business review, and weekly strategic reservations and yield management.
- Ensures close communication with ownership and management company, completing all requested documentation in a timely manner.
- Implements policies and procedures for the Sales and Marketing Department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining Marketing and Content Executive and Assistant Membership Manager; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Administers ongoing sales training programs.
- Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Assistant Membership Manager, Marketing and Content Executive. Conduct annual performance reviews and mentor direct reports to optimize performance and personal development.
- Assures that effective orientation is given to each new associate of the facility and sales, membership and sponsorship opportunities are shared.
- Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Communicates any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
- Conducts frequent staff meetings with subordinates.
- Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the General Manager.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills:
May be required: to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and correspondence; to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills:
May be required: to calculate figures and statistical inference; to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability:
May be required: to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Physical Demands:
Frequently talks and hears. Regularly walks, stands, sits and uses hands to finger, handle, or feel. Occasionally reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.
- Vision Requirements:
Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.
- Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
