Job Description:
Centaur Asia Pacific (Malaysia) is looking for a Sales Executive to be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals within the Sports Turf & Horticulture markets through Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei & Indonesia. Primary duties are to be responsible for the sales & service of all Plant Nutrition and Protection products that fall under the Centaur distribution in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei & Indonesia. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations/trials, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous agronomic or experience in a sales role is an advantage.
Sales Executive Responsibilities:
- Meeting with current and potential customers.
- Generating leads.
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
- Helping determines pricing schedules for quotes, Tenders, promotions, and negotiations.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
- Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
- Understanding and promoting company programs.
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Maintaining client records.
- Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.
Sales Executive Requirements:
- Experience in business, marketing, economics, or related field.
- Sports Turf/Horticulture background or 3-5 years’ experience in sales, preferably outdoor sales.
- Good understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
- Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and driven
