Golf Teaching Professional (Full Time / Part Time)

The primary responsibility of the Golf Teaching Professional is to promote the game of golf by offering outstanding instruction for individuals and groups in lesson, clinic, and golf school formats.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Develop, promote and integrate a professional teaching program for members.
  • Provide competent golf instruction for all skill levels including club fitting experience
  • Develop a personalized performance program for every student
  • Constantly upgrade teaching methods and attend training programmes to widen knowledge and professional skills if necessary, under the directive of the Club.
  • Engage, interact, and cooperate with members, committees, and management by providing professional advice, opinions, assistance, and/or services
  • Maintain open communication with the membership seeking feedback regarding golf instructional programs
  • Write and provide illustrated teaching articles for the Club’s monthly Islander News Letter I Magazine as and when required by the Club.
  • Assist with the organization and participation with any Club, Junior and Corporate golf events and other such Tournaments.
  • Conducting junior golf camps.
  • Creating lesson plans, training associates on the lesson plans, and creating a fun environment for juniors based around the lesson plan.
  • Ensuring proper management of inventory of all teaching aids on property.
  • Ensuring proper functioning and availability of all technology used by the teaching staff.
  • Ensure that Members and other authorised users of the Driving Range comply with Rules and Bye Laws of the Club and to enforce the dress code at the Driving Range.
  • Incorporating safe work practices in job performance.

   
Job Requirement :

  • Bachelor’s degree, college or university program certificate, or 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified” or Class “A” Member of a fully recognized Professional Golfers’ Association (i.e. Singapore PGA, PGA of America, Australian PGA, British PGA or PGA of Canada).
  • Knowledgeable of various instructional methods, maintain currency with new developments on teaching golf, have a history of success in teaching players of all ability levels, and design personalized performance programs that improve golfer’s ability to play.
  • Experience with Instruction Technology is a plus.
  • An eye for detail to ensure quality control for tasks and highly motivated, quality driven and results oriented individual.
  • Positive attitude towards fostering teamwork among associates in support role.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written.
