Position Summary
(Primary purpose of the job)
Overall responsible for the day-to-day operations of the T&I team in the Singapore market and the achievement of the set targets. Ensure that the products within the current portfolio are continuously improved, developments are recorded and communicated in an appropriate and timely manner to constantly elevate the competitiveness of the JJ T&I Group.
Key Responsibilities / Duties

Team Management
- Develop the Sales Strategy, Business Plan and Budget according to the Group’s and Country’s short-term and long-term goals in line with the T&I strategy. Plan, direct and motivate the Singapore team to achieve and sustain desired level of performance to contribute to the attainment of division and organizational goals and targets.
- Supervise, coach and train team to achieve the desired level of job knowledge and skills. Identify the skills and knowledge required by the staff to perform their assigned tasks, and proactively provide appropriate training opportunities to acquire these.
- Build and motivate the team to foster teamwork and avoid conflicts.
- Ensure that the day-to-day work performed by the team according to performance standards.
- Conduct periodic performance appraisals for the sales staff directly involved in the assigned portfolio; provide on-time feedback to improve staff performance.
- Identify the skills and knowledge required by the staff to perform their assigned tasks, and provide appropriate training opportunities to acquire these.
- Ensure the department operates in compliance with the corporate policies.
- Establish, review and monitor the compensation plans for all sales personnel including commission and incentive plans so as to ensure productivity and performance are maximized.
- Collaborate with the Credit Control to ensure customers pay within the credit period.
Product Management and Continuous Improvement
- Assigned products need to be brought to market in the most effective way.
- This means that each proposal across the business areas needs to be adjusted to the needs of our various customer segments and for each country. Various versions of our equipment need to be prepared in order to successfully apply the versioning approach to all proposals. This work is to be developed in close coordination with the Regional Marketing Manager.
- All T&I colleagues need to be able to sell our value proposition by understanding the customer’s needs. This can be derived by active questioning skills and application knowledge. In case this is not up to the expectation of the T&I management, corrective action must be taken to achieve the required quality.
Inventory Planning and Management
- Together with the regional logistics manager, plan, determine and monitor inventory stock and level to ensure stock value is kept within optimal levels as agreed with management.
- Monitor inventory aging and actively engage with the country sales teams to agree on actions that result in minimal aging stock / obsolescence to the level agreed with management.
Any other tasks as assigned by the Managing Director from time to time.
Functional Role / Secondary Function

As we are in the process to have a new approach to how we manage T&I, there will be additional assignments by the Managing Director which may be temporary or become permanent and will be reflected in an updated job description.
EHS Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide support to the EHS team and ensure that the EHS policy is being followed.
- To ensure that sufficient EHS Training are provided to all subordinates.
- To evaluate and follow up the root causes, corrective and preventive action for Accident, Incident and NC.
- To ensure the effective monitoring and measurement of actual performance toward the organization’s EHS objectives and targets.
- To comply with all relevant EHS legal and other requirements associated with the job functions and responsibilities.
- To comply with all EHS requirements affecting the operations, including those affecting the customers, suppliers and contractors supplying and serving the departments.
- To ensure full participation from subordinates in EHS programs.To participate in EHS programs.
- To follow the EHS procedures and work instructions.
Any other tasks as assigned by the Managing Director from time to time.
Priorities

- Review and improve the technical and application knowledge of all sales people.
- Sell the right specifications to the right segment and by doing so, maximize hit rate, margin and revenue.
- Establish the market size in all countries and product groups and from there, define the ideal strategy for achieving the maximum profit from each market.
- To meet the target sales and income growth based on annual ePMS updates.
- Work closely with our people to develop a winning team spirit.

Job Specifications
Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Business Management or related discipline.
Experience
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in which at least 5 years are in Senior Management, managing a business with full P&L accountability and a track record of Sales and Management achievement.
- An energetic, mature and ethical person with managerial courage, self-confidence, resourcefulness and conscientiousness, strong business acumen and a high level of influencing, negotiation, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- A positive outlook and can-do attitude.
- Possess a management style that is well balanced between concern for people and results.
- Good organizational leader, who has solid market and sales experience and can manage a team.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to be hands-on.
